WAO-USA-10thTeleconference of WAO-USA Executive Committee successfully held on Friday, December 17, 2010. This teleconference took time in time out from 9:00pm to 11:00pm US East Standard Time. There were all major EC members including invited special guest from Rakhine Thayhaya Athum (RTA) participated in the meeting.

This teleconference discussed topics on 1. Cyclone Giri victims, 2. 5th-WAO-USA Conference report,
3. WAO-Global Election and 4. General.
During the meeting U Tha Mra Kyaw, General Secretary of RTA, reported in detail of RTA has committed to achieve effectively for Cyclonic Giri Victims of Arakan with the assistance and co-operation of Local Social Organizations and International Non Governmental Organizations. Reportedly, RTA also awfully provided to open Mobile Medical Clinics all affected Townships with the co-operation of MSF-Holland.
U U Sein Tun, President of WAO-USA also reported an update donation from well wishers and some money made contribution to natural disasters of Cyclonic Storm Giri, which hit landfall in Arakan on October 22, 2010.
U Hla Kyi, U Khine Kyaw Khine, Daw Hla Than Wae, Ko Kyaw Htoo Aung and Ko Zaw Zaw Tun deeply discussed about concerning matters of humanitarian assistance to Arakanese Cyclone victims.
As the duty conscious working organization, WAO has planned to reconstruct the breakwaters and supported to plan known as an Education sectoral assessment with RTA. This plan to help like temporary learning Schools are being constructed by UNICEF. And WAO is planning to construct artesian well water project for three villages Rani Gree, Wa Paw Chaung and Thum Pone Chaung in Mrepone Township. WAO has already agreed to donate San Taw Shun pagoda, which was destroyed by Cyclone Giri, rebuilding construction project.
According to WAO-USA update information source said that WAO received total donation $27,635.00 and it made donation $ 24,600 to Cyclone Giri affected Townships of Kyauk Pru, Mrepone, Pauktaw and Mum Bra.
So far WAO is undertaking to raise money for Arakanese Cyclone Giri Victims and it would like to offer long term project for Giri Victims as humanitarian needs and assistance.
