MAHACHAI, THAILAND- 02/19/2012- An event of Arakanese Historical Background Notes making a speech and Arakanese musician “Brilliant Star Award” was successfully held by Arakanese community base in Thailand.
Dr. Aye Chan's Speaking on the History of Arakan
During the ceremony, Arakanese well known scholar Dr. Aye Chan, Professor of Southeast Asian History, Faculty of International Languages and Cultures, Kanda University of International Studies, elucidated the Arakanese history and its chronological events. They(audience) all hold him in great esteem.
Arakanese National singer, composer Won Ko Khaing was given credit to “Brilliant Star Award” by Arakanese Community leader. He is also highly respected and favorite among the Arakanese due to his singing songs are being value for his national.
According to Arakan Rakkhita Group (ARG), there was incredible celebration and over 2,000 Arakanese including Arakan Monks-Students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University-were attending.
