WAO-HQ-World Arakanese Organization WAO-USA branch has received the donation amount is increasing so far so good. According to its update donors list statement, there is being as donation $27,324.92 from well wishers who have contributed to Cyclone Giri natural disasters.
As fundraising WAO-USA branch North California and South California successfully held the events known as food festival and prayer for Cyclone Giri victims. It made raising money $7,610 at N California and $7,975 at S California by the assistance of sympathizers.
U Hla Kyi, who serves General Secretary of WAO, will be donated $6,000 for Cyclone Giri suffering people from Arakan during his visit in Burma. He will discuss with all social leaders of Rakhine Thahaya Athum led by Dr. Kyaw Thein. He will also explain WAO's special projects for Cyclone victims.
Rakhine Thahaya Athum, one of the famous social organizations of Arakan, provided 1,000 rice sacks for Mrebone Township, 1,000 rice sacks for Kyauk Fru Township, 400 rice sacks for Mumbra Township and 300 rice sacks for Pouk Taw Township by the emergency relief fund of World Arakanese Organization.
